Easteeeeeeer

So more or less, Easter.

What is it about for me?

Well in all honesty, 3 years ago, things really did strike home for me.....

Cut my testimony short... ( Does go back to Easter don't worry! )

I've been brought up in a Christian family however when i was around 14/15 I started to hang out at the band stand, and met some people that changed my life for the good and also for the bad.... you don't really think much when your 14/15 , but i started smoking when i was 15, and that followed onto druuuuuuuugs... i'm not blaming anyone except myself.. anyhow, one day there were some weird people outside the Town Hall, saying that they could heal people and all they needed to do was to pray for you? So, me and my mates thought it would be funny to do a little prank and pretend we had broken arms and get them to pray for us and seem like a miracle!

So we more or less did it, and we ran away like little children getting an Ice Cream, i can remember this so well haha..... well the funny thing is.. one of my closest maturer Christians now, he was the one that prayed for us o.O Stewart McTaggart... was abit like wow when i found out the other month!

so anyhow, i carried on my ways for a good 18 months, and as soon as i had started college i decided that i needed to quit the cannabis. So i more or less managed that after about 2 months of trying...

Anyhow, around January, whilst attending Boys Brigade, Me and Uppy got invited to go on an Easter Course in Hungary during Easter.. hey, we thought we were gonna get bladdered every single night and it'd be awesome... how wrong we were, it changed my life, and i know it made him think differently.

So we arrived there, and it was the most _REMOTE_ place ever, i could seriously feel as soon as i got there that it was something special...

It was about Equal Opportunities for everybody, and we had many semesters and lectures to attend, it was really good though!

Anyhow, the thing that really hit home was on Good Friday;

I've probably told all of you this so many times, but here we go again;

We recieved a pebble to represent all of the burdens in our life and that we have to carry them whereever we go...( so we put them in our socks... yes it did hurt alot )

aand we were not allowed to talk from 8pm till 12am to let us meditate properly

We then had several activities we could do;

1. In the Chapel there was a wooden cross on the floor, pieces of paper around the side and pens... you could write what you wanted to get off your chest and ask forgiveness for your sins and then nail it to the cross..

2. There was a Danish fire outside, and you could go outside and read your bible and also make a cross out of pieces of wood that were provided..

3. There was also a work shop where you could sit down and sing along to a CD player that was playing, but this was only sort of area where you could 'Speak' if you say...

4. and Finally there were pieces of paper all around the main hall.. with challenging questions on them.

Anyhow.. this is where i really started to believe, you really did have to be there to feel the Holy Spirit ( which i didn't know what it was back then )... it was just everywhere... hey, i'll admit i've messed up in my faith sometimes to try and persue other things, but God always gives you opportunities to come back into his loving family.

Anyhow... Easter was a special event for me specially as it was when i first started believing, and i know it is an important event to everybody else because it's when our Lord and Saviour died for our sins, and rose 3 days later.

Easter Holidays have been good though, so much been going on... will update a new post when my elbow is better
