Easter Holidaysssss

Woooooooop, i know this has been and dusted, but just thought i'd update you on whats happened over Easter!

So, what did i do over Easter hmmmmmmm... well some strange things happened :o..

On Saturday I went climbing with Emma, Vicky, Adam, and Amy to Awesome Walls, and in all honesty, i was pretty rubbish :D... was pretty good to have ago at bouldering, which i also was pretty bad at!! :<<<<

oh dear...

anyhow, Met up with Rev Knight at Lords on Monday over some coffee beans and some cococococococo beans to talk over some stuff i needed to get off my chest, went really well , and glad i did so.

After i got a text from Emzzzz,  we decided to meet up the next day to have the longest treck i have EVER done in my trainers.. she made me walk from church, down to town, then back through botanic gardens/hesketh park ( can't remember which one! ), then back to church! :D. Nah i'm only kidding , but we did one heck of a walk and we were both feeling the effects afterwards... we then went for a drive around ... i don't know really... we just drove.. and Emma tried to Navigate :p... ending around tea time!

The following night, Emz came arounddd and we watched Mamma Mia ( which i was quite impressed at ) and then watched ... THE GOONIES! (YES!!!!!!!!!), but was a really good night!

For the rest of the week, i was more or less attending Interviews for work or trying to arrange stuff for the gig!

Sunday came around, Palm Sunday, and it was my Church Membership... I attend Leyland Road Methodist Church for people who don't know anyhow.. and i really feel like this is my spirtitual home. I've met so many important people here, and i've definately made my best friends at this church also...

So i became a member in the morning and felt really blessed by God, just going to be abit sad when i leave for Denmark in August... i'll be there in a years time so it should be all good!

In the evening we had a Baptism at Church with Emma and Jenny getting baptiseddd, was a really good service, and so good to see faces that you wouldn't usually see in a church, after the service, we went out for a meal to Fuegos? ( correct me if i'm wrong ), which was okay, but not my favourite type of food!

So skipping a few days... to WEDNESDAY!!!

and then the Lord sent an Angel

*wooooooooosh*

anyhow..

Wednesday, we had all arranged to go and see " The boat that rocked"... now, i have to say i thought it was going to be one of these fantasy movies as i hadn't seen the trailer or anything, and Kathryn chose it aswell, so i didn't think it would be this good ( No Offense :D ).. but was a rather good film to put it simply :D....

Afterwards, everybody went back to Emma and Vickys for some pizza and just to chill! So after the film, some of us went to tesco and bought 6 PIZZAS... went back, cooked all of them, and people were still hungry ! So we went back, grabbed MOAR pizzas and cooked them, along with some shortbread, coke and Cherry PIE!

Then some of us decided to play Manhunt... i remember playing this on Bedford park sooo long ago, so i was like okay then! was gooodddddd till i went to hide at the back of the garden, and decided to jump over a wall, into a little cul-de-sac, yet did i know, it was quite a big drop... so i jumped, or was pushed, don't know which side of the story you've heard of! ( I actually fell just to clear it up, no heavy petting involved, i jumped over the world by MYSELF! ) anyhow yeah, about a 6-7 drop + 14 stone + acceleration = Broken/Fractured Lower Elbow and Wrists that can't move!

This was only a WEEK AND A HALF BEFORE THE GIG :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((.

Anyhow, yeah... Saturday night the 25th April... the ENViSAGE gig/worship session!

Photobucket

that is quiiiiiiiiiiiiite big.. oops!

Anyhow, the night started off abit weary, as we had none of the new songs on Bens pc... so we were panicking abit.... anyhow, the night started and there was a good 40 people there! ( I know this doesn't sound much, but as we had abit 15-20 at the last one we were up for it! )

So we entered some worship and overall it went really well! There are a few minor things we coulda done alot better, but i don't think anybody noticed them :D...

anyhow, i think i've rambled for long enough!

I have to go to the bone doctor today in 6 hours and 33 minutes!

so i shall be off to bed to try and get some sleep!

Hope to speak to you guys soon

God Bless

Andy

Easteeeeeeer

So more or less, Easter.

What is it about for me?

Well in all honesty, 3 years ago, things really did strike home for me.....

Cut my testimony short... ( Does go back to Easter don't worry! )

I've been brought up in a Christian family however when i was around 14/15 I started to hang out at the band stand, and met some people that changed my life for the good and also for the bad.... you don't really think much when your 14/15 , but i started smoking when i was 15, and that followed onto druuuuuuuugs... i'm not blaming anyone except myself.. anyhow, one day there were some weird people outside the Town Hall, saying that they could heal people and all they needed to do was to pray for you? So, me and my mates thought it would be funny to do a little prank and pretend we had broken arms and get them to pray for us and seem like a miracle!

So we more or less did it, and we ran away like little children getting an Ice Cream, i can remember this so well haha..... well the funny thing is.. one of my closest maturer Christians now, he was the one that prayed for us o.O Stewart McTaggart... was abit like wow when i found out the other month!

so anyhow, i carried on my ways for a good 18 months, and as soon as i had started college i decided that i needed to quit the cannabis. So i more or less managed that after about 2 months of trying...

Anyhow, around January, whilst attending Boys Brigade, Me and Uppy got invited to go on an Easter Course in Hungary during Easter.. hey, we thought we were gonna get bladdered every single night and it'd be awesome... how wrong we were, it changed my life, and i know it made him think differently.

So we arrived there, and it was the most _REMOTE_ place ever, i could seriously feel as soon as i got there that it was something special...

It was about Equal Opportunities for everybody, and we had many semesters and lectures to attend, it was really good though!

Anyhow, the thing that really hit home was on Good Friday;

I've probably told all of you this so many times, but here we go again;

We recieved a pebble to represent all of the burdens in our life and that we have to carry them whereever we go...( so we put them in our socks... yes it did hurt alot )

aand we were not allowed to talk from 8pm till 12am to let us meditate properly

We then had several activities we could do;

1. In the Chapel there was a wooden cross on the floor, pieces of paper around the side and pens... you could write what you wanted to get off your chest and ask forgiveness for your sins and then nail it to the cross..

2. There was a Danish fire outside, and you could go outside and read your bible and also make a cross out of pieces of wood that were provided..

3. There was also a work shop where you could sit down and sing along to a CD player that was playing, but this was only sort of area where you could 'Speak' if you say...

4. and Finally there were pieces of paper all around the main hall.. with challenging questions on them.

Anyhow.. this is where i really started to believe, you really did have to be there to feel the Holy Spirit ( which i didn't know what it was back then )... it was just everywhere... hey, i'll admit i've messed up in my faith sometimes to try and persue other things, but God always gives you opportunities to come back into his loving family.

Anyhow... Easter was a special event for me specially as it was when i first started believing, and i know it is an important event to everybody else because it's when our Lord and Saviour died for our sins, and rose 3 days later.

Easter Holidays have been good though, so much been going on... will update a new post when my elbow is better
